Addiction Treatment
A self-empowering approach to help you build motivation to change, cope with urges, learn to approach issues in a more rational and productive manner, create a sense of purpose and meaning, and address underlying issues that may contribute to negative behaviors. I listen to you with genuine empathy and without judgment.  Services include alcohol treatment in San Diego.  I work with both those interested in abstinence and those who wish to moderate their behaviors.

Psychotherapy & Counseling
Evidence-based psychotherapy in San Diego, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, Relaxation Training, and Behavioral Therapy to help you achieve insight and control over your life.

Integrated Care - Behavioral Health Care Consultation
Make better decisions about your own care, including the strategic use of psychotropic medications.  As a Clinical Psychopharmacologist, I can help you to evaluate, understand, and manage medications prescribed for mental health conditions, including those prescribed for treating addictions. I can seamlessly coordinate your therapy with your other health care professionals when appropriate.

Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback (HRV) can help manage stress, anxiety, and panic, reduce cravings, teach mindfulness, and reduce pain. HRV-biofeedback produces rapid results, with long-lasting effects.  Other biofeedback techniques can be added as needed.

EMDR for Trauma and PTSD
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Repeated studies show that by using EMDR people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference.
